partnership with Ray-Ban parent <span class=\"QuoteInBody-quoteNameContainer\" data-test=\"QuoteInBody\" id=\"RegularArticle-QuoteInBody-3\">EssilorLuxottica<span class=\"QuoteInBody-inlineButton\"><span class=\"AddToWatchlistButton-watchlistContainer\" id=\"-WatchlistDropdown\" data-analytics-id=\"-WatchlistDropdown\"><button class=\"AddToWatchlistButton-watchlistButton\" aria-label=\"Add To Watchlist\" data-testid=\"dropdown-btn\"><span class=\"AddToWatchlistButton-addWatchListFromTag\"><\/span><\/button><\/span><\/span><\/span>, but they don&#8217;t come with Ray-Ban or Oakley branding.<\/p>\n<div style=\"height:100%\" class=\"lazyload-placeholder\"><\/div>\n<p>Meta is aggressively marketing its smart glasses to consumers as eyewear competition heats up and consumers find more value in augmented reality devices. Users can speak to Meta&#8217;s AI to translate or understand what they see around them, or take photos and videos of their surroundings. <\/p>\n<p>Meta executives have said they see the lightweight smart glasses as a step toward a more advanced device that includes screens in the lenses with computing capabilities. Meta last year announced glasses called Ray-Ban Display glasses, which cost $799 and include a built-in display.<\/p>\n<p>Zuckerberg has found more success in smart glasses than in virtual reality headsets, which were key to the company changing its name from Facebook to Meta in 2021.
