class=\"lazyload-placeholder\"><\/div>\n<p>Alphabet surged 10<strong>%<\/strong> after earnings, climbing 34% this month. It&#8217;s the company&#8217;s best month since October 2004, the year it went public.<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"QuoteInBody-quoteNameContainer\" data-test=\"QuoteInBody\" id=\"RegularArticle-QuoteInBody-7\">Meta<span class=\"QuoteInBody-inlineButton\"><span class=\"AddToWatchlistButton-watchlistContainer\" id=\"-WatchlistDropdown\" data-analytics-id=\"-WatchlistDropdown\"><button class=\"AddToWatchlistButton-watchlistButton\" aria-label=\"Add To Watchlist\" data-testid=\"dropdown-btn\"><span class=\"AddToWatchlistButton-addWatchListFromTag\"><\/span><\/button><\/span><\/span><\/span> fell 9% Thursday after announcing an increase in its capex spend, but still gained nearly 7% for the month.<\/p>\n<p>Shares of Amazon rose 27% in April, while <span class=\"QuoteInBody-quoteNameContainer\" data-test=\"QuoteInBody\" id=\"RegularArticle-QuoteInBody-8\">Broadcom<span class=\"QuoteInBody-inlineButton\"><span class=\"AddToWatchlistButton-watchlistContainer\" id=\"-WatchlistDropdown\" data-analytics-id=\"-WatchlistDropdown\"><button class=\"AddToWatchlistButton-watchlistButton\" aria-label=\"Add To Watchlist\" data-testid=\"dropdown-btn\"><span class=\"AddToWatchlistButton-addWatchListFromTag\"><\/span><\/button><\/span><\/span><\/span> gained 35%. <span class=\"QuoteInBody-quoteNameContainer\" data-test=\"QuoteInBody\" class=\"AddToWatchlistButton-watchlistButton\" aria-label=\"Add To Watchlist\" data-testid=\"dropdown-btn\"><span gains mark a turning point for the tech sector, which has had a rough start to 2026. Tech stocks, especially software, have been pressured as fears of artificial intelligence disruption continue to escalate. <\/p>\n<p>Year-to-date, the Nasdaq Composite is up 7%.
